Scuola di Medicina Umanistica - SMU

Next to the post-graduate training in the fields of hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and critical nephrology IRRIV delivered to Italian and foreign students,  the Humanistic  Medicine School offers courses focused on the relational aspects of clinical practice. The mission of SMU is to raise health professional workers’ awareness through research and training to practice medicine inspired by humanist values, based on the centrality of the person whose illness has to be treated and which we must take care of. All the different training proposals start from the common conceptual core expressed by the mission and differ according to the recipients of the seminars’ specific objectives. They include the area of theory, the area of organization and behavior and the area of communication. In addition to research and education, the Humanistic Medicine school promotes conferences, debates, meetings, events and activities of the Summer School.
