The International Renal Research Institute of Vicenza (IRRIV) is a research Institute, right arm of no-profit organization AARVI (Associazione Amici del Rene di Vicenza onlus) and integral part of Vicenza San Bortolo Hospital's Nephrology Dialysis and Renal Transplant Department.

More than anything, the IRRIV is the realization of a dream that came true when the Institute, from being a virtual entity, existing in researchers' scientific works only, came to be a real and concrete area, equipped with laboratories, more than with study and multimedia halls.
The mission of this institute is contributing to renal diseases knowledge and their treatment advance, through a research which continually sees researchers coming from all around the World working in symbiosis, under a team spirit. There are not Nephrologists only, but also Physicians with different Specializations, Biologists, Biotechnologists, Engineers, Pharmacists, Economists and Sociologists. It is a modern Center where abilities of young Researchers join skilled Doctors' experiences and competencies, set in locations endowed with the best technological and scientific instrumentation.
