I had the opportunity to meet in person Prof. Ronco in the EuroPD Meeting in Maastricht in October 2013 and he opened me the doors of IRRIV. I came to Vicenza in the last year of my residency in Nephrology and right after my honeymoon. Here I found a small family who welcomed me with open arms. Despite my short stay, only two months, in IRRIV I had the opportunity to conduct my own projects and submit my first article to a journal. But the best thing that I take from the IRRIV is the friendship of people from all around the world with whom I spent unforgettable moments. Since the beginning I knew it would have been a great experience.
